Electric scooter rentals have been completely banned in Solnechnogorsk, Moscow region.

The authorities of Solnechnogorsk near Moscow have imposed a complete ban on movement, parking and the placement of electric scooters of kicksharing companies in the district. The relevant resolution is published on the website of the municipality administration.

"Prohibit movement, parking, and other types of placement of personal mobility equipment (SIM) by kicksharing companies throughout the Solnechnogorsk City District of the Moscow Region," the document says.

The administration explained that the decision was made following a meeting of the interdepartmental commission on road safety. It is noted that restrictions are introduced to increase the safety of residents and prevent violations of landscaping rules.

Electric scooter rental services have been banned in Lobnya, Moscow Region, since May 13. A similar ban has been in effect within the Ramenskoye District since April 20. The district authorities emphasized that modern transport should not create obstacles and dangerous situations for pedestrians.
