Russia has launched the Rosvexel digital platform for the purchase of gold bars
Rosvexel, a digital platform for online purchase of physical gold, created with the participation of the Russian Ministry of Finance, PSB and A7, has been launched in Russia.
The platform allows private investors to purchase gold with reliable storage in the state infrastructure or get their hands on it, Rosvexel emphasized. The minimum purchase volume is from 1 g. Transactions are carried out online and at the offices of the A7 company. The service provides a mechanism to protect against a short-term decline in the price of gold at the time of purchase. The company noted that there are no analogues of this tool on the Russian market.
"It is important for us to create a standard for gold sales in the market. Citizens should understand how the price of goods is formed, and get access to physical gold without brokerage accounts, complex tools, and intermediaries," explained Osman Kabaloev, CEO of Rosvexel.
He stressed that an investor acquires a real asset on the platform and independently decides how to dispose of it. "We want to make it as easy and convenient to purchase small bars as, for example, ordering any product through a marketplace," Kabaloev said.
"The creation of Rosvexel is the strategic entry of the A7 Group into the retail segment. The A7 infrastructure was originally built to work with real assets, and gold is one of the key areas for which it is technically verified," said Irina Hakobyan, Deputy General Director for Economics and Finance at A7. She expressed confidence that "through joint efforts, Russia can become a leader in retail investment in precious metals."
As Alexey Moiseev, Deputy Finance Minister, recalled, since 2000, the value of gold at the exchange rate of the Bank of Russia has increased 40 times, reaching a historic maximum in 2026. According to him, the main buyers of the last three years have been the central banks of the world — they purchase more than 1 thousand tons annually, twice the average value for a decade. The high liquidity of gold makes it the most promising instrument for long-term savings, the deputy minister believes. "Our goal is to create an understandable and convenient tool through which citizens with different income levels can invest in gold, as well as stimulate domestic demand," Moiseev stressed.
The technological basis of the platform is the infrastructure of the PSB and A7. It includes a banking architecture with control, regulation and data protection tools.
"In fact, we have transferred banking standards to the physical gold market, creating a technological precedent for the entire financial industry," explained Mikhail Dorofeev, Deputy Chairman of the PSB. He stressed that for the client, this means instant transactions in a fully secure digital space, comparable in reliability to interbank settlements. "Our goal is not just a service, but to create conditions for a sovereign domestic infrastructure where physical gold becomes a full—fledged digital asset with banking quality," added the deputy chairman of the PSB.
Rosvexel was established in accordance with a government decree dated November 2025. 15% of its capital belongs to the state, 85% belongs to the A7 group.
