The cartoon "Leo and Tig. The Road to Baikal" became the best Russian animation launch, presented from January to May 2026.

The premiere attracted 127 thousand viewers in its first weekend at the box office. According to the EAIS, the box office receipts from May 14 to May 17 amounted to 49.2 million rubles.

In the story, little leopard Leo and tiger cub Tig embark on a long journey to Lake Baikal to bring home the lost seal Lufi. They meet new friends along the way.: the red panda Ju and the monkey king Wukong, as well as face the evil and treacherous leader of the herd of horses, Tengri Khan, who himself dreams of capturing a seal, because she is promised an impressive reward — the fulfillment of a wish. The new animated film is a big adventure—filled journey of friends, as well as a scenic route where every step of the characters turns into a new discovery.

The cartoon is presented at the box office by the Digital Television media holding, the NMG Film Distribution company (part of the National Media Group holding) and the Steam Train Studio.
