The number of injured during the emergency landing of the An-2 aircraft in the forest of Yakutia has grown to three. This was reported on May 19 by a source of Izvestia.
It is specified that only crew members were injured. Among the injured is the aircraft commander, who was hospitalized with burns.
"The 31-year-old observer pilot was taken to surgery with a thermal burn to his legs, and the 26-year-old parachutist suffered a bruise, he received outpatient care," the source said.
The An-2 aircraft made an emergency landing in the forest of Yakutia earlier that day. Shortly after the incident, the Ministry of Emergency Situations found out the coordinates of the aircraft, as well as about the independent exit of passengers from the forest. A criminal case was later opened.
On the same day, the Eastern Interregional Investigation Department for Transport of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia reported that the An-2 aircraft, while patrolling a fire-prone situation, made an emergency landing in the Tomponsky district due to engine failure.
