- The State Duma pointed to attempts by the Ukrainian Armed Forces to distract the world from Putin's visit to China by attacking Russia
The attacks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on Russia have become no more accurate, but, on the contrary, chaotic, because Kiev is thus trying to distract the world's attention from the visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to China by shelling. This was announced on May 19 by State Duma Deputy Andrei Kolesnik.
"They are trying to somehow indicate their worth from a military point of view. Plus, I think this is happening specifically on the eve of our president's visit to China. They are trying to shift attention from Vladimir Putin's most serious state visit to China, which could affect the geopolitics of the whole world," he said in a conversation with Lenta.Ru .
Kolesnik noted that the attacks on Russian cities were a personal initiative of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, "whose days are already numbered." The parliamentarian added that attacks on Russian cities will not remain unanswered.
Earlier in the day, Rodion Miroshnik, the ambassador-at-large of the Russian Foreign Ministry for war crimes of the Kiev regime, said that Moscow and the Moscow region had been subjected to the largest attack by drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine last week.
On May 17, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova called a massive drone attack on Moscow and the Moscow region a terrorist act. She stressed that she blames these actions on the Kiev regime and personally on the President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, as well as on the "collective Western minority" that finances it.
