The Supreme Court of Dagestan has sentenced former State Duma deputy Magomed Gadzhiev (recognized as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation) to life imprisonment in absentia in the case of organizing murder and extortion. This was reported on May 18 in the press service of the courts of the republic.

The court found Hajiyev guilty of organizing a murder committed by an organized group for hire, as well as extortion on an especially large scale. In addition to the life sentence, he was fined 900 thousand rubles.
