The U.S. Treasury Department is extending for 30 days the license that allows offshore shipments of Russian oil. This was announced on May 18 by the head of the department, Scott Bessent.
"The US Treasury Department is issuing a temporary general license for a period of 30 days to provide the most vulnerable countries with temporary access to Russian oil, which is currently at sea," he wrote on his page on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
