Eid al—Adha is the feast of sacrifice, one of the two main Muslim holidays along with Eid al-Adha. It is traditionally celebrated with mass prayer in mosques and hajj to Mecca. In 2026, the celebration of Eid al-Adha falls on Wednesday, May 27. In addition to Dagestan, additional days off are usually established in other national republics of the North Caucasus with a predominantly Muslim population. For residents of other regions of Russia and those working in them, according to the general calendar, May 27 remains a working day, but Eid al-Adha is a holiday for Muslims throughout the country.
