Soldiers of the Russian Armed Forces told the details of the liberation of the village of Grishino in the DPR

Military personnel of the 30th Separate Guards Motorized Rifle brigade of the Center group of forces took part in the liberation of the Grishino settlement in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). The combat mission was carried out in an area with a developed defense system of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was announced on May 18 by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

It is specified that before the assault began, units of unmanned systems conducted reconnaissance, identifying firing points, concentrations of manpower and enemy fortifications. The data obtained was used to launch strikes using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the Molniya aircraft type, FPV drones, quadrocopters with ammunition drop, as well as artillery. After the fire training, the advance of the assault groups began.

"They set up observation posts, began conducting aerial reconnaissance, opening up opponents, spoiling logistics, supplies, calculating enemy UAV posts, followed by destruction, so that our fighters could move forward," said Viktor Akchurin, the commander of the UAV platoon.

The servicemen secretly moved around the village, using weather conditions and night time to disguise themselves. After taking up positions, they carried out a sweep of enemy strongholds under aerial surveillance. During the fighting, an attempted counteroffensive was repelled with the use of equipment, which was destroyed by means of unmanned reconnaissance and artillery.

The liberation of Grishino made it possible to improve the tactical position of the group's units and create conditions for further progress in the Dobropolsky area of the special military operation.

On May 16, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that units of the 38th Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 35th Guards Combined Arms Army of the Vostok group of forces had taken control of the village of Charivnoye in the Zaporizhia region. It is noted that during the fighting, Russian units broke through the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and gained a foothold in the village.
