A World War II bomb was defused in Germany
In the city of Pforzheim in southwestern Germany, a World War II-era bomb weighing 1.8 tons was successfully defused. This was announced on May 17 on the website of the city administration.
"A World War II bomb weighing 1.8 tons, discovered on Wednesday, May 13, during construction work in the park area of the Oststadt district, was successfully defused by the Baden-Wuerttemberg Explosive Device Disposal Service in the early afternoon hours of Sunday, May 17," the material says.
