The night attack by UAVs on the regions of the Russian Federation has become the most massive since the beginning of 2026

The night attack by Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) on the night of May 17, during which 556 drones were destroyed and intercepted over the Russian regions, became the most massive since the beginning of the year. This became known on the same day from the data of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

The previous record value was recorded on the night of May 7, when air defense systems shot down 347 Ukrainian UAVs. Prior to that, major attacks were carried out on March 25 (389 drones) and March 10 (337 drones), TASS reports.
