The air defense forces destroyed 42 Ukrainian drones over the territory of the Russian Federation in five hours.

Air defense systems shot down 42 drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the period from 9:00 to 14:00 Moscow time on May 17 over the regions and the Azov and Black Seas. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

"In the period from 9:00 to 14:00 Moscow time, 42 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles of an airplane type were intercepted and destroyed by air defense systems on duty over the territories of the Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk, Rostov, Smolensk regions, Krasnodar Territory, the Republic of Crimea and over the waters of the Azov and Black Seas," the report said.
