In the south-east of Finland, Hornet fighters were lifted into the air. This was announced on May 17 by the Finnish broadcasting company Yle.

"On Sunday morning, Finnish F/A-18 Hornet fighter jets were seen and heard over southeastern Finland and Pirkanmaa. Yle has received confirmation from the Finnish Defense Forces that the country has increased surveillance of the area," the publication says.
