Sobyanin spoke about the architecture of the super college in Kommunarka

A super college in the style of the Russian avant-garde will be built in Kommunarka (Novomoskovsky administrative district), Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said. According to him, a distinctive feature of the architectural concept of the building "will be the red multi-layered facade, its complex shape with protruding bay windows," which helps to capture direct sunlight.

"The college with an area of over 113 thousand square meters will accept more than 16 thousand students," Sobyanin wrote on his channel in Maks. — They will study in the following areas: construction, industry, IT, transport, education, creative industries and hospitality, finance and trade."

The college building will have a variable number of floors — from three to nine floors. Four academic buildings with classrooms, workshops and laboratories will be located on a single basis. Production sites with heavy equipment are planned in stylobate. A multifunctional space with amphitheaters, media libraries and exhibitions will be organized in the central part of the college.

For future builders, an outdoor training ground is provided on the college grounds for practical training in real conditions. It "repeats the construction site as much as possible, where you can see the entire technological process — from geodesy and laying engineering networks to construction and finishing," Sobyanin stressed.

The architectural concept of the new building has already been agreed, and all work is scheduled to be completed in 2029, the mayor said. In total, seven innovative colleges are planned to be built in Moscow, he added.

At the end of March, Sobyanin announced that the number of budget places in Moscow colleges this year would increase by 10,000 to 47,000. "Three months before the start of the admission campaign, the number of people wishing to enroll in colleges on the basis of two OGE exams has already increased by 5,000 people compared to last year," said the mayor.
