A woman was killed in a UAV attack in Khimki.
As a result of an attack by an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) on a house in Khimki, a woman was killed. This was announced on May 17 by Andrey Vorobyov, Governor of the Moscow Region.
"Starting at 3 a.m., the air defense forces are repelling a major UAV attack on the capital region... Khimki (Starbeevo microdistrict) — a woman was killed as a result of a UAV hitting a private house. Another person is under the rubble," Vorobyov wrote on the Maks messenger.
Rescuers and all operational services are working at the site, the publication notes.
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced in the Maks messenger on May 17 that 12 people were injured as a result of attempted drone strikes in Moscow. It is noted that most of the victims were injured near the entrance of the Moscow Oil Refinery (MNPZ). The plant's technology was not disrupted.
