The number of pensioners living in the Russian Federation has been named

More than 40 million pensioners currently live in Russia. This became known on May 17 from the data of the Social Fund of Russia.

So, as of April 1 of this year, 40.413 million pensioners were registered in the Social Fund system, RIA Novosti reports.

Working and non-working pensioners receive an average of 25.4 thousand rubles as a pension.

The increase in social pensions from April will affect the disabled, children with disabilities and citizens without insurance experience.

Yulia Finogenova, Professor of the Department of State and Municipal Finance at Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, said on May 11 that in June a number of Russians will have the opportunity to receive an increased pension. According to her, this will be available to those who turned 80 in May, group I disabled people, dependents who have arrived and have completed their work.
