The Dome of Donbass system prevented 38 attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in a week.

In the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), 38 terrorist attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) were prevented in a week using the Domol Donbass airspace protection system and consolidated mobile fire groups. This was announced on Friday, May 17, by the regional directorate of the FSB of Russia.

According to the ministry, Ukrainian units continue the tactics of combined raids on civilians and infrastructure facilities. So, on approach to the Starobeshevskaya thermal power plant (TPP), mobile firing groups shot down an FP-2 attack drone, which was armed with an OFAB-120 high-explosive warhead.

On the Donetsk–Mariupol highway, MOG fighters destroyed a Ukrainian Chaklun-V drone. The device tried to attack civilian vehicles. Another attempt to strike at a mass gathering of people was recorded in Gorlovka. There, a Baton UAV with high-explosive fragmentation ammunition planned to attack a local bus station.

In addition, an FP-2 drone with an FP-105 warhead aimed at civilians was suppressed in the village of Olginka, and a B-270 attack vehicle, also equipped with a high-explosive fragmentation charge, was shot down in Krasnaya Polyana.

"The Dome of Donbass system, operated by military personnel of the regional directorate of the FSB of Russia, and consolidated mobile firing groups intercepted enemy drones, after which explosives experts successfully neutralized the suppressed drones and destroyed warheads without harm to civilians and infrastructure," the FSB stressed.

A week earlier, the Dome of Donbass system and mobile firing groups in the DPR prevented 27 terrorist attacks by the Ukrainian army. In particular, on approach to residential areas of Petrovsky district of Donetsk, FSB fire groups shot down a Hornet drone with a 4 kg warhead. At the Starobeshevskaya thermal power plant, the Ukrainian Armed Forces tried to disable transformers using a high-explosive charge with 10 kg of explosives.
