A 14-year-old boy was injured as a result of a shooting opened by a man at one of the playgrounds of Lyubertsy near Moscow. This was reported on May 16 in the press service of the Prosecutor's office of the Moscow region.

"On a playground in the courtyard of an apartment building in the Lyubertsy city district, a man fired an air pistol at a group of children, as a result of which a 14-year—old teenager was wounded in the back," the department said in a Telegram channel.

The incident was recorded on May 14. The victim was taken to a medical facility, and a criminal case was opened in accordance with Article 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Hooliganism"). It is emphasized that the progress and results of the investigation are under the control of the Lyubertsy Prosecutor's Office.

On May 13, representatives of the Department of Internal Affairs for the southern administrative district of Moscow of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation reported that a 66-year-old man opened fire on a playground in the Orekhovo-Borisovo Severnoye area. He was also armed with an air gun. As a result of the actions of the attacker, no one was injured, and he was placed under house arrest.
