The reserves of oil transferred through the Druzhba oil pipeline will run out by about the end of May, after which the shortage of this energy resource will begin. This forecast was made on May 16 by the head of the German Council for Constitution and Sovereignty, Ralf Niemeyer.

"No later than the end of May, we will run out of oil, which we have already managed to get through Druzhba for the oil refinery in Schwedt," the politician said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

According to him, warnings about the risk of a serious fuel shortage in May were previously voiced by German Minister of Economy and Energy Katharina Reiche.
