A motorist was sentenced for an accident involving an ambulance in Primorye

The Nakhodka City Court of Primorsky Krai sentenced a motorist for an accident in which a patient died in an ambulance. This is reported by the joint press service of the judicial system of the region.

The accident occurred on January 1, 2025 on Pogranichnaya Street in Nakhodka. The driver did not miss the ambulance at the intersection, which was moving with flashing lights and a beep.

The cars collided. The patient, who was in the medical car, suffered severe injuries, from which he later died in hospital.

The court found the woman guilty and sentenced her to two years of imprisonment to be served in a penal colony with the deprivation of a driver's license for a similar period. At the same time, as IA PrimaMedia clarifies, the punishment has been postponed until her child turns 14. She must also pay 1 million rubles in compensation to the injured party who filed a civil lawsuit.

Earlier in May, it was reported that a court in the Irkutsk region had sentenced two organizers of illegal car racing, during which an underage spectator died and her friend was injured. The execution of the punishment was also postponed until their sons reached the age of 14.
