A criminal case has been opened in the Stavropol Territory over the death of a 54-year-old man during a parachute jump. This is reported by the Western Interregional SU on Transport of the Russian Investigative Committee.

The tragedy occurred on Thursday afternoon, May 14, in the village of Novomaryevskaya, Shpakov district. During a sports training jump, a skydiver lost control during landing and hit the ground.
