An outbreak of acute intestinal infection has been recorded in the Krasnoyarsk Cadet Corps named after A.I. Lebedev. According to Rospotrebnadzor, 21 cases of the disease and 12 more cases of suspected infection have been registered. Norovirus RNA was detected in some of the patients. An outbreak of infection occurred in the Krasnoyarsk Cadet Corps named after Alexander Lebedev. A total of 33 cases of suspected acute intestinal infection among students were recorded. The disease is mild to moderate in severity.

15 minors were hospitalized, the rest of the patients receive the necessary outpatient treatment. According to the medical services, there is no threat to the lives of patients.

During laboratory tests, RNA of norovirus, a virus that causes acute intestinal infection, was detected in some of the patients. Experts continue to find out the exact causes of the outbreak.

The Department of Rospotrebnadzor in the Krasnoyarsk Territory is conducting a sanitary and epidemiological investigation.
