- The most popular gifts to graduates for high results on the Unified State Exam are named
Most Russian graduates expect to receive at least 100,000 rubles from their parents after graduation and passing the Unified State Exam. This is stated in a study by the Sunlight jewelry chain, which was reviewed by Izvestia on May 17.
More than 3,000 Russians over the age of 18 from different regions of the country took part in the survey. According to the study, more than half of parents consider it right to financially encourage their children to successfully graduate from school. So, 34% are ready to give graduates more than 100 thousand rubles, another 21% — from 50 thousand to 100 thousand rubles. The majority of respondents estimate the size of the gift in the amount of 10 thousand to 50 thousand rubles.
At the same time, parents are willing to pay only with certain results of the Unified State Exam. For 64%, the main condition was the admission of a child to the budget. Another 49% expect 100 points in at least one subject, while 35% expect an average score of at least 90. Only a quarter of the respondents are ready to encourage the child even for the minimum passing result.
"Despite the conditions of receiving the gift, 46% of parents admitted that their children hint about it in advance. According to them, the majority of zoomers (69%) want to receive at least 100 thousand rubles after graduation. Of these, 35% - more than half a million rubles. Only 6% take care of the budget of their moms and dads and ask for up to 10 thousand rubles," the analysts said.
Most often, graduates want to spend money on clothes, entertainment, and new equipment. In addition, the first car, jewelry and watches turned out to be popular.
At the same time, if the child does not meet the expectations based on the exam results, most parents refuse monetary incentives. Another part of the respondents are ready to reduce the amount of the gift or offer the teenager to earn money on his own.
Senator Airat Gibatdinov reminded on May 12 that this year, in order to receive a school certificate, students need to receive at least 24 USE points in Russian and seven points (or a grade of "three" — "satisfactory") in basic mathematics, as well as minimum grades in other subjects.
