Since 2023, more than 39 thousand people who have received Russian citizenship have signed contracts for military service. This was announced on May 15 by Konstantin Korpusov, head of the Main Military Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.

"More than 112 thousand people have been registered among those who have been granted citizenship for the first time. Over 39,000 citizens have signed contracts for military service," he told TASS.
