The Kupibilet ticket loophole service conducted a study and found out which destinations Russians most often choose for travel in June. On May 17, analysts, in an interview with Izvestia, noted an increase in demand for both traditional resort routes and city trips abroad.

Kaliningrad became the leader among domestic destinations in June, accounting for about 50% of all flights across Russia among the most popular routes. The average cost of a one-way ticket was 11,520 rubles. Sochi took the second place with a share of about 21%, while a flight there costs an average of 18,920 rubles. Makhachkala closes the top three, which was chosen by about 10% of travelers, and the average ticket price was 15,070 rubles.

Mineralnye Vody was also among the top five most sought—after Russian destinations, accounting for about 8% of bookings with an average ticket price of 17,490 rubles, and St. Petersburg with a share of 6%. At the same time, the Northern capital remains the most affordable destination among the leaders of the rating: the average price of a flight there is 9,290 rubles.

Istanbul became the undisputed leader among foreign routes in June, which was chosen by about 38% of Russians planning trips abroad. The average cost of a one-way flight was 21,750 rubles. Antalya came in second place with a 14% share and an average ticket price of 29,479 rubles. Yerevan took the third place with 12% of bookings, with an average flight price of 18,859 rubles.

Nha Trang and Belgrade are also among the top 5 foreign destinations. About 11% of travelers chose the Vietnamese resort, and the average ticket price was 50,070 rubles. The Serbian capital took the fifth place with a share of 8%, while a flight to Belgrade will cost an average of 49,740 rubles one way.

"In June, Russians traditionally choose warmer destinations with comfortable weather and convenient logistics. At the same time, there is a noticeable increase in interest not only in beach resorts, but also in urban destinations for short trips. To save money on summer flights, we recommend booking tickets in advance and, if possible, choosing flights in the middle of the week: the cost difference can reach 20-30%," the Kupibilet press service noted.

Elena Kosheleva, Director of Sberbank Insurance projects, said on May 13 that with the onset of the warm season, Russians are more likely to travel around the country and abroad, but even a carefully planned vacation can be complicated by flight delays, baggage loss, or health problems. According to her, in preparation for the trip, first of all, it is necessary to think over the program in advance.
