VTB has doubled the loan portfolio of SME tourism projects

According to the results of the first quarter of this year, the loan portfolio under the preferential program in the segment of small and medium-sized businesses reached 62.4 billion rubles, an increase of 94% over the year, said Ruslan Eremenko, a member of the VTB Management Board, at the opening of the bank's flagship office in Vladivostok.

According to him, 59 projects in the field of tourism have been implemented with the support of VTB. The Far East plays a special role in the development of the industry, where new growth points are being formed. The implementation of projects in the region allows not only to increase the number of rooms, but also to create an integrated environment with transport, service and recreational infrastructure, Eremenko emphasized.

"We see a steady business interest in investing in the tourism infrastructure of the Far East. Today, the region accounts for almost 10% of our program portfolio: about 2 billion rubles in Primorsky Krai and 3.5 billion in Khabarovsk. At the same time, projects worth 840 million rubles have already been funded in Primorye since the beginning of the year. These are not targeted initiatives, but the formation of a full-fledged tourist infrastructure capable of providing high-quality service. This approach lays the foundation for the long—term development of the region and the growth of its economic activity," said a member of the VTB Board.

Preferential program No. 141 was launched in February 2021. The funds are allocated for the creation and development of tourist infrastructure, including hotel complexes, apartment hotels and related services. In 2025, VTB's disbursements under the program increased by 74% compared to 2024 and amounted to 26.5 billion rubles.
