On the night of May 15, the Ryazan region was attacked by Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles. The wreckage of the destroyed drones fell on residential areas and the territory of an industrial facility. As a result, two multi-storey residential buildings were damaged. In one of them, structures collapsed, which blocked the exit from the entrance. Several cars parked below were also damaged, dozens of glasses and window frames were knocked out.

The governor of the Ryazan region, Pavel Malkov, said that three civilians were killed and 12 others were injured, including children.

"Unfortunately, three people were killed and 12 injured, including children. All the victims were promptly provided with the necessary assistance," he wrote on his channel in the Maks messenger.

Information on the severity of injuries is being clarified, and the victims have been taken to medical institutions.

Evacuation and rescue operations

All operational services are working at the scene of the incident. Specialists are dismantling damaged structures and checking buildings for the threat of further collapse. Evacuation of residents of damaged houses has been organized. Temporary accommodation facilities have been set up for those who need it.

The governor instructed the social services and relevant departments to provide the necessary assistance to the victims and the families of the victims.

For security reasons, classes in schools and kindergartens were canceled in the Oktyabrsky district of Ryazan. Malkov called on parents to warn children not to touch the debris of the fallen UAVs, and reminded them that if a suspicious object is found, they should call the special services.
