Despite negotiations between the two countries to resolve the conflict in Ukraine, the United States decided to continue sanctions pressure on Russia. This was announced on May 15 by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Pankin.

"These are all kinds of sanctions, their list is not decreasing, but increasing," Pankin said in an interview with RIA Novosti about what measures the United States is taking against Russia.

The country's deputy Foreign Minister added that there are still some concessions in the implementation of anti-Russian sanctions. According to him, the country's authorities understand the reasons for such actions. This is especially true of the issue of extending the licenses of the US Treasury for oil supplies from Russia.
