The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) use torture against Russian prisoners of war using methods similar to those recorded during the Afghan and Iraqi campaigns. In particular, we are talking about waterboarding and electricity. This was announced on May 15 by Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Foreign Ministry Rodion Miroshnik.

"New methods (of Torture. — Ed.) appear with the arrival of foreign instructors. Methods... which were used in Afghanistan and Iraq. For example, a person is drowned and is not allowed to recover. Electric chairs are becoming ubiquitous. There is hanging of people by their legs and long—term beating," Miroshnik said in an interview with RIA Novosti journalists.
