Singer Linda's director Mikhail Kuvshinov was placed under house arrest until June 20 in a fraud case involving the exclusive rights to musical works by producer Maxim Fadeev. This was reported on May 14 by a correspondent of Izvestia from the Tverskoy courtroom in Moscow.

The court granted the prosecutor's request. The investigation considered that if a milder measure was imposed, Kuvshinov could escape, influence the course of the investigation, and also put pressure on witnesses and victims. In turn, Kuvshinov's lawyer stated that the investigation had not provided evidence of his involvement in fraud, and called the request for a preventive measure premature and unfounded.

Kuvshinov is suspected of a particularly large-scale fraud committed by an organized group, he denied his involvement. Fadeev was recognized as the victim, and the material damage is estimated at over 1 million rubles. The criminal case is related to the case of Andrey Cherkasov, CEO of the Jam music publishing house, who is currently in jail.

According to a source in Izvestia, on May 12, Kuvshinov, Linda, and Daria Shamova, director of Profit, were questioned as part of the investigation into Cherkasov's criminal case. According to investigators, with the help of forged documents, the defendants could illegally take over the rights to the songs written by Fadeev for the singer.
