Strawberry harvest began in Sevastopol

Agrarians in Sevastopol have started harvesting strawberries. About 130 tons of berries are planned to be removed from the bushes.

According to Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev, Sevastopol may set a new record for strawberry harvest. Six large farms are engaged in crop cultivation. According to KrasnodarMedia news agency, Florida Beauty and Murano varieties are cultivated in one of the farms.

7 tons of strawberries have already been harvested from 2 hectares. The bushes will bear fruit until December.

An emergency regime was introduced in the Penza region due to the unsatisfactory condition of about 5% of the cultivated areas. In some areas, the soil was waterlogged, which led to the death of crops.
