- The Ukrainian Armed Forces complained about large-scale night strikes by the Russian Armed Forces
The Russian Army's nighttime strikes on targets of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) were among the largest in the entire conflict. This was announced on May 14 by the official representative of the AFU Air Force, Yuri Ignat.
"There was a very short pause after yesterday's strike in the evening, which was not enough for the rest of the personnel and equipment to regroup. <...> We are currently experiencing the biggest blows that have been," Ignat said on the Public television channel.
He added that the Ukrainian air defense system was already operating in this mode, which leads to physical fatigue of personnel, overloading of equipment and high consumption of ammunition.
The Russian Ministry of Defense reported earlier in the day that the Russian Army had launched strikes with Dagger air missile systems against enterprises of the military-industrial complex (MIC) and airfields of Ukraine. The Ministry of Defense clarified that the targets of the strike were enterprises of the Ukrainian military-industrial complex, military airfields, as well as fuel and transport infrastructure facilities used in the interests of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The ministry stressed that all designated facilities were hit, and the targets of the strike were achieved.
