Putin extended the term of civil service of Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Ryabkov

Russian President Vladimir Putin has extended the term of public service of Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov until July 8, 2027. The relevant decree was published on the official Internet portal of legal information on May 14.

"To extend the term of federal state civil service until July 8, 2027 to Sergey Alekseevich Ryabkov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation," the document says.

The age limit for public service is 65 years. At the same time, it can be extended for civil servants who hold positions in a number of categories, in particular, heads of the highest group of positions.

Ryabkov will turn 66 on July 8, 2026.

On May 4, Vladimir Putin extended the term of federal state civil service to Yuri Chikhanchin, Director of Rosfinmonitoring. The decision was made in accordance with the federal law "On the State Civil Service of the Russian Federation". Yuri Chikhanchin has been the head of Rosfinmonitoring since 2008.
