Russian machine builders are successfully operating despite the difficulties and obstacles from unfriendly countries, the Russian president said.

"Domestic machine builders operate in difficult conditions, including severing ties with some foreign contractors and external pressure from unfriendly countries. Nevertheless, in these circumstances, Russian companies, their managers, and employees show flexibility and the ability to apply non—standard approaches," he said.

The Russian leader also stressed that Moscow intends to create technological alliances with other states.

"By strengthening our technological sovereignty, we are not going to shut ourselves in. On the contrary, we intend to create and expand mutually beneficial alliances with other states, and support the initiatives of foreign partners that use Russian machines, equipment, and technological platforms," the head of state said.

He added that such a combination of intellectual and resource potential of different countries based on the principles of mutual respect for interests will open up additional opportunities for the national research school, industrial enterprises and the service sector.

"There were several problematic issues that really affect, in general, the whole country. This is, first of all, of course, the dollar exchange rate, in general, the strengthening of the ruble, it does not have a very effective effect on exports of products, and, of course, the key rate. Today we need long, cheap money in order to develop our enterprises," the president said.

According to Putin, Russian industry and science have a huge potential for developing and ensuring the country's defense capability.

"Our industry, science, and education have huge potential. This is a solid foundation for our sovereign development, for high—quality economic growth, the formation of a supply-side economy and modern jobs, for ensuring defense capability and increasing high-tech exports," he said.

At the same time, according to the president, it is necessary to move away from dividing enterprises into civil and defense ones.
