The Russian side continues to advocate for a peaceful settlement of the conflict with Ukraine. This was announced on May 14 by Sergey Naryshkin, Director of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) and Chairman of the Russian Historical Society.

"Since the very beginning of the Kiev regime's military aggression against the Donetsk and Luhansk republics, that is, since 2014, the Russian Federation, Russian President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin has repeatedly made proposals for a peaceful diplomatic settlement of this conflict," he told TASS.
