Manturov announced an increase in production in the defense industry by 21%
Last year, enterprises of the Russian military-industrial complex (MIC) increased their output by 21%, First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov said on May 14 during the Congress of Russian Machine Builders at the Rossiya National Center.
"Last year, defense industry enterprises increased their total production by 21%. And we see how the demand for products from foreign consumers is growing," he said.
Manturov noted that even against the background of the tasks of the special military operation (SVO), the share of civilian products produced at defense industry enterprises is growing and has already exceeded the 30% mark. In 2025, Russia's revenue from arms exports amounted to $15 billion, and the current order portfolio was formed in the amount of almost $75 billion.
On May 13, Russian President Vladimir Putin, in a congratulatory message to the staff of the Moscow Institute of Thermal Engineering (MIT), noted that the Russian defense industry should "bypass the thorns" and move forward, and, despite all difficulties, achieve the results Russia needs.
