Two oil product burials will be removed in the Tula region in 2026
In the Tula region, in 2026, the liquidation of two large oil product burials will begin: in the village of Komarki in Tula and in Bogoroditsk.
Within two years, specialists will carry out design and survey work to determine the levels of negative impact of these facilities on the environment and develop measures to eliminate them, TSN 24 writes with reference to the regional Ministry of Housing and Landscaping.
The agency notes that the burial area near Bogoroditsk is 2.6 hectares. The cost of developing design estimates is 38 million rubles. There are residential buildings located 90 m from the burial site.
The contaminated site in the village of Komarki is located 50 m from the residential area. They plan to spend 41 million rubles on its liquidation. For more than six years, fuel oil has been erupting from the ground in the village. Specialists should determine the level of pollution in the adjacent territories.
The agency reported that in 2025, 32 unauthorized landfills were eliminated in the region. Most of them were in Yasnogorsky and Venevsky districts, as well as in Tula. At the beginning of this year, experts had not found any new landfills in the region.
Earlier, on May 13, it was reported that a cluster of industrial pumping equipment appeared in the Tula region. The order on registration of the facility was signed by the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Anton Alikhanov. The complex was created for the development of technological import substitution and the development of industrial cooperation. It unites enterprises from three regions — Tula, Moscow and Orenburg.
