Residents of the Perm region were promised abnormal heat

Abnormal warming is observed in the Perm Region. The end of the week from May 11th to 17th, as well as next week, will be significantly warmer than normal.

So, in some areas of the region, the air temperature may be above the climatic norm by 12 degrees. The weather is affected by a powerful blocking anticyclone. Because of it, warm air mass from Central Asia enters the territory of the region. This is reported by the news agency " <url>" with reference to the VK group "Dangerous natural phenomena of the Perm Region".

The temperature will deviate the most from the norm on May 15-19 in the north-west of the region. It will be 12 degrees warmer. The same magnitude of the anomaly was during the previous heat waves in mid-May in 2010, 2019 and 2021, meteorologists say.

According to forecasts, from May 14 to May 20 in the south of the Kama region, thermometers will rise to +25 degrees and above during the day, and drop to +16 at night. In the north of the region, the warming period will not be as long, but intense.

Forecasters do not rule out that in the period from May 17 to May 19, the temperature will rise to + 30 degrees. Most likely, such warming will be in the west of the region and in Perm.

Earlier, on May 14, Mikhail Leus, a leading specialist at the Phobos weather center, reported that the meteorological summer returned to Moscow with an average daily air temperature above +15 degrees. On May 13, the temperature background not only exceeded the long-term average, but also reached the level of summer temperatures again, <...> and from that day the second countdown of the meteorological summer began, the forecaster said. Warming processes are expected in the capital region soon — at least until the middle of next week, thermometer readings will increase, continuing the "meteoric" period, which this time will not be interrupted.
