Before the holiday season, fraudsters began using a scheme to intimidate Russians by canceling flights due to an alleged outbreak of rotavirus in a hotel or "political unrest" in popular tourist destinations such as Turkey or Egypt. This was reported on May 14 in the press service of the Moshelovka platform of the Popular Front.

"Scammers attack tourists according to the following scheme: allegedly evacuation from Turkey or Egypt. A week before departure, a call comes from a fake "Travel Aid": "There is an outbreak of rotavirus or political unrest in the hotel, your flight has been canceled," RIA Novosti reports.
