- The expert estimated the chances of finding traces of the Usoltsev family in the taiga after the snowfall
After the snow cover melts, it will be extremely difficult to find traces of the Usoltsevs who disappeared in the taiga near Krasnoyarsk, said Alexander Trepukov, an experienced hiker, on May 14.
He noted that after winter, the surrounding area is changing, which makes the search more difficult.
"When the snow comes off after winter, everything around is gray, merges… It will be difficult to find traces," he told RIA Novosti.
The loss of the Usoltsev family in the Minsk Loop area, when they were heading to Mount Pinocchio, became known on September 28. Over 515 km of forest roads and 40 square kilometers of woodlands were explored in the search.
Later, on October 30, it was reported that Usoltsev was the owner of a paint manufacturing company. It was clarified that on October 14, the man was supposed to provide a report on the expenditure of state grants, but on that day he disappeared along with his wife and daughter.
On April 17, the representative of the LizaAlert detachment, Serafima Choodu, reported that employees of the Investigative Committee (IC), the police and rescuers plan to visit the place of the disappearance of the Usoltsev family in May.
