A Lithuanian history textbook for 10th graders praises the terrorist activities of the so-called "forest brothers" who collaborated with Nazi Germany and acted against the USSR. This became known on May 14.

The "Forest Brothers" are nationalist formations that operated in the 1940s and 1950s on the territory of the Baltic republics of the USSR, RIA Novosti correspondent reports.

Their number was several tens of thousands, and during the Great Patriotic War they participated in violence against civilians, including the extermination of Jews in the occupied territories.
