The Canadian hockey club Toronto Maple Leafs has announced the resignation of head coach Craig Beruby. This was announced on May 13 by the general manager of the team, John Chaika.

"Craig is an amazing coach and an even more amazing person. This decision rather reflects organizational changes and the opportunity to start all over again, rather than an assessment of Craig's work," he was quoted as saying on the club's website.

Chaika thanked the coach for his professionalism and dedication to the team. He also wished him and his family all the best for the future.

It is specified that the new head coach will form the staff of the assistants after his appointment.

On the same day, it became known that the head coach of the Chelyabinsk hockey club (HC) Traktor, 56-year-old Evgeny Koreshkov, left his post. He has been a member of the team's coaching staff since November 21, 2025. On December 16, Koreshkov became the head coach of Chelyabinsk. Under his leadership, HC took the sixth place in the Eastern Conference table.
