The State Duma noted the development of Russia's nuclear shield with the advent of the Sarmat

The Sarmat heavy liquid-fueled intercontinental ballistic missile, created by Russian scientists, has no equal in the world. This was announced on May 13 by Vyacheslav Volodin, Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, based on the results of tests conducted the day before.

"This rocket has no equal," he is quoted as saying on the website of the State Duma of the Russian Federation.

Volodin added that the successfully completed tests of the new weapon illustrated the improvement of the domestic nuclear shield.

Noting the work of the developers, the chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation added that thanks to their work, Russians feel safe.

On the same day, those present at the State Duma meeting applauded the Russian scientists for creating Sarmat. At the same time, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov called the launch of the Sarmat an important event for the entire state. According to him, this complex will ensure the security of the Russian Federation for "many, many years to come."
