When attacking unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) A man was seriously injured by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the village of Bessonovka, Belgorod region, who later died in hospital. This was announced on May 13 by Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov.

"A man who was seriously injured in a drone attack this afternoon in the village of Bessonovka, Belgorod region, died in the regional clinical hospital," he wrote on his Telegram channel.

The head of the region said that the tragedy could not be avoided even despite the efforts made by doctors — the injuries sustained by the Russian turned out to be incompatible with life. He offered his condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.

On the same day, the governor of the Bryansk region, Alexander Bogomaz, announced the deaths of two civilians during the attacks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the region.
