- Zhilkin spoke about the circumstances of the murder of a nine-year-old boy in St. Petersburg.
Pyotr Zhilkin, who is accused of raping and murdering nine-year-old Pasha, who disappeared in St. Petersburg in the winter of 2026, on May 13 told details about the crime from the pre-trial detention center No. 1 of the Main Directorate of the Federal Penitentiary Service for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region "Kresty-2".
The man recalls that Pasha himself approached him on January 30 in a parking lot located near one of the Lenta hypermarkets. The child asked to get into the car in order to warm up and eat there. Once in the salon, he told Zhilkin that he could not return home yet, as he had "not collected enough money" and could be beaten for this. Zhilkin recalls that when looking at a minor, scratches could be seen on his body.
"He urgently started asking for money in large quantities and offered to talk to his uncle and his mother. <...> and that I would owe him. That I "touched" him. After that conversation, I do not know if it was fear or something that got to me, so that he would not repeat it, I just taped his hands to his torso and sealed his mouth and threw him into the car," Zhilkin said in an interview with 78 TV channel.
The accused emphasizes that having committed these actions, he realized that they "lead to nothing good." After that, he intended to go to the police station and talk to the minor's relatives. When he got on the main road, he started calling the boy names, but he didn't respond.
"There was already silence. After that, I stopped. <...> He no longer showed signs of life. I tied his hands and taped his mouth, and it turned out that I taped his nose along with his mouth. When I found out that he was no longer breathing, I tried his pulse, tried his breathing, and after that I vaguely remember what," he added.
Zhilkin stated that his subsequent memories were connected with the road and the reservoir where he dumped Pasha's corpse, which he "could not look at."
Information about the missing nine-year-old boy appeared on February 1. At the same time, there were versions about his possible abduction. A source told Izvestia the next day that the alleged kidnapper, who arrived in St. Petersburg from the Luhansk People's Republic, offered children to ride his car in the parking lot of a hypermarket for money.
The 78 TV channel learned about Zhilkin's detention on the same day. At the same time, the body of a boy was found, who, in turn, according to Izvestia's interlocutor, never went to school and earned money by wiping headlights in the parking lot. We said goodbye to the child on February 11. Dozens of people came to his funeral. Some time later, on February 20, it became known that a criminal case had been opened against Pasha's mother. The woman was accused of failing to fulfill the duties of raising a minor, combined with abuse.
