Galatasaray football player was attacked in Istanbul shopping center because of a girl

Lucas Torreira, a midfielder of Galatasaray football club, was attacked in one of Istanbul's shopping malls. The cause of the conflict, presumably, was a girl. This was reported on May 13 by the A Haber TV channel.

A football player was beaten by a certain Yusuf Yildirim. The attack took place at the exit of the cafe, and it came as a surprise to Torreira. Yildirim tracked down the player thanks to his social media posts from this institution.

The victim tried to leave the scene by taxi, but the police soon detained the suspect. The footballer has already received a medical report after the attack.

During the interrogation, Yildirim stated that the reason for the attack was Torreira's interest in his girlfriend. The footballer himself said that this girl was his girlfriend, and the court had previously banned the attacker from approaching her for 45 days. In the near future, the court will choose a measure of restraint for Yildirim.
