The Social Fund of the Russian Federation named the regions with the largest number of twins

According to the results of the first quarter of this year, twins were born more often in Moscow, the Moscow Region and St. Petersburg than in other regions. This is evidenced by the data published on the website of the Social Fund of Russia on May 13.

"The Social Fund of Russia has analyzed data on multiple births <...> to assign payments to families. Most often, twins were born in Moscow (416 twins), the Moscow Region (254) and St. Petersburg.‑St. Petersburg (222)," the article says.
