The architecture of the business program of the "Drug Safety" forum, which will be held on June 3, the opening day of SPIEF 2026, has been published. The Forum is supported by the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation and the State Duma Committee on Health Protection.
The expert discussions of the Drug Safety Forum are aimed at developing practical solutions and developing effective interaction between the government, the pharmaceutical industry, the scientific community and the healthcare system. Such a combination of efforts is of strategic importance for ensuring drug safety, the development of modern technologies and the achievement of goals to increase the life expectancy of citizens.
The key event of the forum will be the plenary session "Drug safety as a component of health care". The business program includes 13 expert discussions, divided into three thematic blocks.: "Accessibility and quality are the basis of drug safety", "Drug sovereignty: goal — independence, vector — development" and "At the forefront of scientific research: breakthrough potential". The business program of the Drug Safety forum also includes the strategic session "Investing in Drug Accessibility: from the molecule to the patient. Priority areas of innovation for human health" and pharmaceutical breakfast.
"For the sixth year in a row, the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum will host the Drug Safety Forum, which has become an important element of the SPIEF business agenda. The issues of providing medicines to citizens, ensuring the availability and quality of medicines are among the priorities of the state. Today, it is especially important that these issues are discussed in a broad interdisciplinary format, involving government, business, science, and the medical community. Such interaction makes it possible to form effective solutions aimed at the sustainable development of the healthcare system and improving people's quality of life," said Mikhail Murashko, Minister of Health of the Russian Federation.
The Drug Safety Forum rightfully occupies the place of a leading industry platform for productive dialogue between the giants of the pharmaceutical and medical industries, representatives of relevant government authorities, the scientific and expert community.
