The Security Council reported on Kiev's attempts to distribute drugs in Donbas
Russia records Ukraine's actions to distribute drugs among the population of Donbass. This was announced on May 12 by the press service of the Security Council of the Russian Federation.
"The actions of the Ukrainian regime aimed at drugging the population of Donbass continue to be recorded. In particular, the Federal Security Service authorities suppressed the activities of 25 participants in an organized drug group supervised from the territory of Ukraine," TASS reported.
The Security Council of the Russian Federation reports that the members of the group were engaged in the supply, packaging and distribution of drugs on the territory of the DPR. In addition, they promoted addiction among the youth of the republic.
It is also noted that the number of registered crimes related to drug trafficking in the first quarter of 2026 is 40% less than in the same period of 2025.
On January 13, the FSB of the Russian Federation in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) announced the suppression of the actions of members of a criminal group who were engaged in drug distribution. Thus, in the places where the defendants in the criminal cases initiated in accordance with Part 3 of Article 30 and Part 5 of Article 228.1 of the Criminal Code of Russia ("Preparation for a crime and attempted crime" and "Illegal production, sale or transfer of narcotic drugs") lived, over 50 kg of synthetic drugs were detected.
The individuals in question, acting on the orders of curators based in Ukraine, tried to promote dependence on these substances among the younger generation. A total of 25 Russians were detained.
