On May 14, the State Duma will consider the appointment of a commissioner for human rights in Russia. This was announced on May 12 in the press service of the State Duma after a meeting of the Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin with the leaders of the factions.

"Topical issues on the agenda and priority draft laws that are scheduled to be considered in May were discussed. Among them is the issue of the appointment of the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation, which will be held on a competitive basis on May 14," the publication on the Duma's website says.
